My latest make is inspired by one of my favorite fashion designer houses. The timeless classical designs, the elegance of the fabrics, the detailed embellishments… Chanel is a dream when it comes to the perfect Parisian style. Here’s the step by step of my Chanel inspired skirt, a Burda Style pattern!
Vejam aqui o passo-a-passo da última peça que costurei, uma saia inspirada nas coleções da Chanel. O molde é da Burda Style!
I’ve decided to take a little summer break. A little break may be helpful for my Ph.D. progress as I will come back more relax and energized after some days in Portugal with my family. With this last minute decision of moving to the seaside for some days, I soon realized my wardrobe was very ill prepared for such trip. So last weekend I set to resolve the situation and made a full collection of self-drafted off-shoulder tops and an off-shoulder yellow sundress. Now I’m ready for summer!
Here’s the making of the oversized bow blouse I recently finished! A great sewing project to add to your list. It’s simple and fast but results in a gorgeous statement shirt that sure will brighten up your day. Keep reading to know how I made it and how you can make it too!
Vejam aqui passo a passo como fiz esta blusa com gola laço! Um projeto de costura simples para um resultado fantástico – a blusa mais apetecida para esta estação!
If you’re not new around here, you’re well aware of my love affair with bows. Big or small, as a ribbon or as a design detail, if it has a bow on it I’m likely to wear it. When present in my outfits, bows are usually a small detail. But I guess sometimes more is actually more, and when making myself a bow shirt I opted for a statement piece – the oversized bow!
When I first laid my eyes on this J.Crew sweater some months ago I was sold. It wasn’t cheap so I considered it for quite a while until I realized that what really caught my eye was the bow at the collar. Apart from that, it was just a sweater like many others and I figured it wasn’t worth the investment. Instead, I set off to make my own.
I spend most of the Winter wrapped in dark clothes. While this is very convenient for rainy days, which happen more often than not, I sometimes wish I embraced more light colors during the cold season. I love the combination of pink and beige, a winning combo for those days when you want
I was such a big fan of Tilly’s handmade wardrobe when I first saw her as a contestant at The Great British Sewing Bee. Some time later Tilly launched her award-winning book Love at First Stich, with some of the cutest patterns you’ve seen around. The book is ideal for beginners, taking you from the very first steps to a finished garment with easy and very clear instructions. I bought the book a while ago and finally had the chance to have it a go. I started with the Delphine skirt!
