Put a bow on it

If you’re not new around here, you’re well aware of my love affair with bows. Big or small, as a ribbon or as a design detail, if it has a bow on it I’m likely to wear it. When present in my outfits, bows are usually a small detail. But I guess sometimes more is actually more, and when making myself a bow shirt I opted for a statement piece – the oversized bow!

As soon as I (successfully) completed this project, I knew it would become a favorite piece. Not only is it one of my most successful pieces of sewing so far, it is also a favorite amongst everything that I’ve owned until today.

For an easy spring look, I’m pairing the blouse with skinny jeans and ballet flats – a classic combination that never disappoints. My ballet flats are from the Portuguese brand Josefinas, the most comfortable shoes you’ll ever have – you really need to check them out if you haven’t yet, they ship worldwide! I’m also wearing my new bucket bag, an adorable cross-body bag in pink from BOOPACKS, handmade and affordable.

  1. That is a gorgeous bow blouse. I wish I had one! I love bow blouses too. I usually have a collared silk blouse and tie a bow on. It is so feminine. You look lovely!
