Pastel Rainbow Colors

My favorite season is finally here. The days are warm and long, ice cream is abundant, and the beach is calling. And this season it’s all about color! Hello, summer!

You know summer is my favorite season. My birthday is in the summer, my favorite holidays by the beach too. Summer brings me my favorite fruits and favorite temperatures. And summer for me is also the time when I can wear the cutest clothes. Colors are a must and this season, in particular, embraces a palette of gorgeous pastel colors. You can mix and match as much as you like or wear them all together for a beautiful rainbow-like look.

Last summer I fell for a gorgeous rainbow dress (see here). The dress is beautiful, but it’s mostly suited for a beach look. This time I’m bringing you a rainbow look fitted for any relaxing weekend or city trip. The midi skirt (from mint&berry, a German brand I recently discovered and fell in love with) has a gorgeous palette of pastel colors, which makes it really easy to style. Any solid color top within that palette will match perfectly, which results in endless combinations. You can also opt for a complete colorful look, by pairing the skirt with this matching blouse (see here) or simply by choosing the dress version instead (see here).

This summer, however, won’t be as free as the others. As most of you know by now, I really need to work hard to finish my thesis and the so loved days by the beach will need to wait. I will try to get a little break by the seaside to get me going, but most of the summer will be spent in the office. But as long as the weather allows I’ll still be happy in my colorful summer clothes, and since my routine is also filled with fun hobbies there’s not much to complain really. By the end of the summer, my thesis will be in better shape, but so will my wardrobe (as I’m making some new pieces and knitting a sweater!), my body (no vacation and keeping to the routine means I won’t skip gym classes and regular exercise), and my mind (the energy I get from these sunny days will definitely keep me happy for a while!).

I hope this look inspires you to dress more colors this season! Are you also in love with pastels? What can’t you wait to wear this summer? And I know many of you are also in the same boat. If your summer will be spent at the office getting along with your thesis I can only tell you I feel you. But we’ve got this! We really got this!

Have a lovely week and I’ll ‘see’ you back soon!
