Spring first blossoms are here and with them the first warmer days we’ve had in a long time. To celebrate I took my white jeans out of the closet and paired them with a pink sweater and my pink loafers. To finish the look, I tied a velvet ribbon into a bow around my neck, for a sweet final touch!
You know how much I love bows. I made myself a bow sweater recently (see here) also using velvet ribbon, and I own a fair share of blouses and dresses with bows/bow ties (see here, here and here). I also just finished making a new spring/summer blouse, the ultimate bow statement piece – I’ll be showing you that later…
But back to this look. I love the combination of white and pink and for a sunny day white jeans were a great choice. As I mentioned before, I found it really hard to find interesting sweaters in the stores. I have a few basics like this pink one, and even though I like the color, it just lacks in detail. Playing with velvet ribbon is a fun way to turn any basic sweater into something a little more special. I bought the velvet ribbon at the local haberdashery store – you can get it in different colors and sizes depending on the effect you want to create.

Beautiful photos!
Every year I have to go to our blooming cheery blossom trees and do a few photoshoots. It is almost funny because there is half a dozen photographers doing shoots in that short span of time because after two week the blooms are gone. Is it similar at your place?
How to mix patterns in one outfit and make it work? link.
