This week’s look is a combination of key pieces for this Spring. The bomber jacket, the kick flare ankle jeans and the shoes of my dreams!

Because of all the travelling lately, and because last Sunday was dedicated to the Fashion Revolution week (see here), I only now had the chance to get this look online. The bomber jacket is one of the trendiest pieces of this season. I will make you a selection of my favourites later in the week. This one is really one of my favourites. I’m generally not a very big fan of bomber jackets. I think they don’t look very flattering on me and usually don’t match my style. But this season, bomber jackets look more delicate than ever, with a lot of embroidery and gorgeous fabrics involved. So I decided to give it a try. This one is from H&M, a premium quality linen jacket with beautiful beaded birds and flowers. I’m wearing it with another big trend, the kick flare ankle jeans. I think they look nice, but I will definitely need to alter them if I really want them to look like ankle jeans on me (short girl’s problems!). As for the shoes, I’m in love! I got these shoes as a little gift to myself once I submitted my first scientific paper, as part of my PhD. For me, a pair of *good* shoes is an investment and I needed a good reason to spoil myself ;) I have been eyeing these shoes for seasons. I first saw the ones from Valentino and had this immediate crush. It took me more than a year to find a decent alternative that I could afford. Eventually I saw these ones from Uterque, which are very similar and very good quality. I’m really happy with how beautiful and comfortable these shoes are :) But if you would like something a bit cheaper, there’s also another alternative at ASOS.
