I made myself recently some really comfy slipper booties! It was my first attempt at sewing any kind of footwear and I am really pleased with the result. This project requires you to draft the pattern yourself, but don’t worry… I took note of all the steps and if I did it I’m pretty sure you can do it too! Take a look at the tutorial and let me know if I’m right.
I’m finally back into sewing (and so happy about it)! First I went on vacation, and there was no way I was allowed to bring my sewing machine along for 3 weeks of beach, hiking and the birth of my first nephew (yaaay)! Now being back feels good, but getting into work again and finding a routine was not easy. But getting into a routine also means getting into sewing and I’m really happy to share with you my first make since the Summer!
The story of this skirt starts with the discovery of this fabulous cat fabric. Then with the help of amazing tutorials and sewing blogs, this gorgeous pleated skirt was created.
I usually get the Burda Style issues from the Portuguese edition, because let’s face it reading Vogue in Dutch is one thing, reading sewing instructions in Dutch is a completely different thing. So in the last January edition from Burda Style there was a section of maternity wear. I skipped quickly through the pages as I thought “ow well one day I can make something like this for myself”.
