Hi and welcome!

I am Catia, the founder, and editor of the personal style blog The Petite Cat, where you can find all the pretty things I wear, make or have my eyes on. I was born in Portugal in 1989 and moved to the Netherlands in 2011 to pursue a master’s degree in Astrophysics – I’m currently finishing my Ph.D. at the University of Amsterdam. Besides my scientific work, I have a great passion for fashion, style, and the art of dressmaking. I have learned fashion design and creative pattern cutting at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy (2016); I sew, I knit, and I have just started to learn hand embroidery!

Since 2017, I am also a regular contributor to the online platform of Burda Style Portugal.
