When I first laid my eyes on this J.Crew sweater some months ago I was sold. It wasn’t cheap so I considered it for quite a while until I realized that what really caught my eye was the bow at the collar. Apart from that, it was just a sweater like many others and I figured it wasn’t worth the investment. Instead, I set off to make my own.
And here’s the result, a bow sweater that fits me perfectly and I even dare to say that I love this one more than the original one.
Sweater – Handmade by The petite Cat (similar here, you still need to add a bow); Coat – Benetton (similar here); Jeans – Mango (available here); Boots – Steve Madden (available here); Bag – Mango (similar here)

The whole classic coat, skinny jeans, ankle boot combo is something I wear on repeat. Very similar to what I was wearing here, this kind of look is very versatile in the sense that it feels suitable for different occasions. Black is timeless and very handy for these rainy gray days. And you can either wear it as a very basic outfit or pair it with an interesting blouse/sweater for a more sophisticated look.
What do you think of this look? I will be sharing with you later in the week all the details on the making of this sweater and meanwhile will be very busy with writing my paper and attending meetings. And there’s a soon to be blouse under the sewing machine (yay!). Sounds like a very exciting and exhausting week! How’s March starting off for you? Have you come to say ‘hi’ on Instagram already? I’ll be trying to use my InstaStories more often, so stay tuned!
