Bow sweater

Winter season is always hard when it comes to style. It’s very cold here and again this winter I couldn’t find pretty sweaters in the stores. Sure I found some lovely designer pieces, but nothing that could fit my budget looked mildly interesting.  I love my outfits to be simple but still with a special touch here and there and even in winter, some interesting design detailing or fabric pattern would be highly appreciated. My first Delphine skirt

I was such a big fan of Tilly’s handmade wardrobe when I first saw her as a contestant at The Great British Sewing Bee. Some time later Tilly launched her award-winning book Love at First Stich, with some of the cutest patterns you’ve seen around. The book is ideal for beginners, taking you from the very first steps to a finished garment with easy and very clear instructions. I bought the book a while ago and finally had the chance to have it a go. I started with the Delphine skirt!

Summer at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy

Some of my holiday this year was spent at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy. Yes, you read it right. I know I constantly complain about my summers in the Netherlands (or their non existence) and for me it was a very though decision to take those days to do something like this. I could have been travelling, lying in the beach or being at home doing absolutely nothing (which sounds pretty sweet actually!), but I just felt that it was the right moment.
